Why GMR exists
Georgia's medical cannabis market is moving quickly, and patients are being asked to make real buying decisions with limited information. Inventory changes. Prices vary. A strain name or THC percentage only tells you so much. We built Georgia Med Reviews to make those choices a little easier.
How this started
The idea grew out of our own experience using Georgia's medical program. We knew what we wanted from a useful product review, but it was often hard to find the details that mattered once you got past the menu description: how the product actually felt, whether the quality matched the price, and whether we would buy the same batch again.
After trying products from different operators, our experience did not always line up with the opinions we found online. Rather than complain about the lack of information, we started keeping better notes and built the resource we wanted to use ourselves.
We keep the people behind GMR mostly out of the spotlight on purpose. The product, the process, and whether the review helps another Georgia patient matter more than a personal profile.
What we care about
- The actual experience. Effects account for half of every GMR score.
- The actual product. We track the batch, dispensary, price, and available label data instead of treating every product with the same strain name as identical.
- Value in Georgia. A good product can still be a bad buy at the wrong price.
- Clear disclosures. If a product is provided, discounted, sponsored, or connected to a financial relationship, we will say so clearly.
Editorial independence
Georgia Med Reviews is independently operated. Unless we explicitly say otherwise, GMR is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the dispensaries, producers, government agencies, or other organizations mentioned on the site. Company names and product names are used to identify the products and businesses we are discussing.
Ordinary outbound links are there to help readers find an official source or referenced page. At launch, we do not receive commissions from those links. If we ever use an affiliate link or receive something of value connected to a review or recommendation, that relationship will be disclosed where readers can see it.
What a review is — and is not
Our reviews describe our experience with a specific product and batch. Cannabis affects people differently, so an experience we describe is not a promise that another patient will have the same result. GMR does not provide medical or legal advice, and our reviews should not be read as claims that a product diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents a disease.
GMR does not sell scores. If we like something, we will tell you why. If we do not, we will tell you that too.
